This Privacy Policy describes how Waxworth ("we", "us") handles your information when you use the Waxworth mobile application and website (together, the "Service").
Information we collect
- Photos you scan. When you scan a record, the photo is sent to our servers to identify the release and estimate its value. Photos are used solely to provide this feature and are not sold or used for advertising.
- Collection data. Records you save, their conditions, and estimated values, so we can show your collection and its value over time.
- Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never your payment details.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous events (e.g., "scan completed") that help us improve the app.
- Email address. Only if you join our waitlist or contact support.
How we use information
- To identify records and provide price estimates.
- To maintain your collection and app preferences.
- To provide customer support and service updates.
- To improve the Service.
Third-party services
We use trusted processors to operate the Service, including cloud hosting and AI image-recognition providers, marketplace price-data providers, subscription management, and analytics. These providers process data only on our behalf. Price data is informed by publicly available marketplace information, including Discogs. Waxworth is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discogs.
Data retention & deletion
Scan photos are retained only as long as needed to provide the feature. You can delete records from your collection at any time. To request deletion of all data associated with you, email support@waxworth.app.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
